New Chapter Parent Event

The 2018-19 academic year marks an exciting new chapter for The British School Yangon (BSY) and we have a lot to look forward to. Not only are we part of a new global family; Nord Anglia Education, we will also welcome our new Principal, Paul Holyome and move into our brand new state-of-the-art campus in Tan Win Street. In order to mark this special occasion, we invited our parents to a 'New Chapter' parent event.

The event, which took place at our Secondary Campus, allowed our valued parents to have a sneak preview of the eagerly anticipated new campus building, meet our new Principal, Paul Holyome and find out more about Nord Anglia Education.

Guests were invited up to the top floor of the Secondary campus where they were able to enjoy a fantastic view of the new building, look at progress photographs and video footage (below), and raise a glass of champagne to the school's exciting New Chapter.

Mr Holyome made a special trip over from Ho Chi Minh City to give a progress report on the building and detail the opportunities it will provide for the students. He also outlined the benefits and opportunities now available within the wider Nord Anglia Education family, such as the Global Campus and collaborations with MITUNICEF and Juilliard

He said: "It was a great pleasure to meet so many parents at the event and to get to know the school community better. I am looking forward to leading BSY during what will be a very exciting time for the school, as we expand into the first (I)GCSE year and a full secondary school in a few years’ time. It will be a beautiful campus and I am pleased that we will be able to offer the excellent facilities and unique learning spaces to match the outstanding teaching."
