Mr Scott Chappell

5B Teacher

Mr Chappell joined us from New Zealand, where he has taught students from Years 3 to 6. He has worked with a range of abilities and needs and enjoys catering for each individual student. He studied performance music at Canterbury University and thinks that music is incredibly important for young minds. 

Qualifications

BA Music, University of Canterbury NZ; Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Primary), New Zealand Graduate School of Education.


About

Mr Chappell joined us from New Zealand, where he has taught students from Years 3 to 6. He has worked with a range of abilities and needs and enjoys catering for each individual student. He studied performance music at Canterbury University and thinks that music is incredibly important for young minds.

Scott enjoys helping children to develop independence and strong work habits in his classroom, with the appropriate support needed. Creativity from the students is highly encouraged, as well as thinking about things from different perspectives.

Outside of school Scott enjoys music, squash, reading and exploring new places.
