Experiential Learning

We want our students to be prepared for an ever-changing world. The incorporation of ‘STEAM’ (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Maths) across our Early Years curriculum ensures that every child is exposed to practical and contextualised learning opportunities on a daily basis.

From setting up classroom aeroplanes to designing Roman temples, our children use modelling, analytical, and evaluative skills on a daily basis, despite their young age.

On a daily basis, the experiences designed for students by our outstanding teaching team move outside to the Great Outdoors. Alongside a range of learning opportunities in our on-site Outdoor Area, children take regular trips to nearby forests, lakes, and parks, exposing them to a range of physical environments. Winter in Moscow provides an amazing chance to build sledging runs and snow forts, while the summer season brings students closer to birds, minibeasts and plants in the local area. At ISM, we learn from real life experiences every day.
