The Sixth Form at ISM is very much geared towards preparing students for university. A Levels require a great deal of focus and application. The demands of the courses are a big step up from those at GCSE and IGCSE and students will be expected to work very hard outside of lesson times in order to supplement the work covered by their teachers. We offer over twenty A Level subjects in our school, the details of which can be found in our Sixth Form Prospectus.
As is the case at every stage of a student’s education at The International School of Moscow, the study of academic subjects is only one part of the educational experience. Sixth Form students are encouraged to build on their academic knowledge by pursuing experiences in their fields of interest. As the most senior students of our school, they are also expected to assume a greater role in the leadership of the student body; leading sports teams, social clubs and community initiatives.
It is our ambition that by the time students complete their education with us that they are not only well-prepared for university, but are also well-equipped with the skills, confidence and character to succeed in life.
