You've Got a Friend: Video Clip on Youtube

This video clip is the culmination of two weeks of shooting across our campus, with videographer Mark Lowther (who is also a DCIS parent) putting dozens of students, staff and parents into the final production as they all sang the birthday track 'You've Got a Friend', a song originally written and recorded in 1972 by James Taylor, the same year that DCIS was founded.

Updated Term 3 Calendar

As we have already mentioned, the calendar in your Parent Handbook is no longer valid so refer to the updated version of Term 3 Calendar of Events. All modifications are reflected on our website and other social media locations.

  • 30 June – deadline for UNICEF Summit video letters
  • 30 June – deadline for UNICEF Summit presentations

Congratulations to Indira, who has been selected to be part of the NAE presenting team and will be working collaboratively with other Nord Anglia students to develop and present a compelling and powerful account of what we as a group of schools are going to achieve against the Global Goals.

The team of seven secondary students and two teachers departed on Sunday 11th June and have arrived in Geneva for a full week of activities. This includes a two day hike from Les Martinets to a mountain hut, a lesson on the art of cheese and chocolate making and a gondola trip up to Glacier 3000 where they will observe a high glacial environment and gain some understanding of the environmental impacts of climate change. They will meet and work with students from all around the globe from other NAE schools.

The Creative Writing & Visual Arts Anthology will be ready to send in mid-June. Each child who has a piece of writing or artwork published in the anthology will be receiving their very own copy. Check out the winning and highly commended entries on the Creative Writing and Visual Arts competition pages on Global Campus online! The winners can all be found on the GC Online Winners Wall.

Shortlisting is underway. We are currently awaiting feedback from UNICEF and will share the results as soon as we have them.

Have a great week all. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any queries you may have, and keep in contact! We love to see and hear what you have been up to with the Global Campus.
