Anna has held a number of leadership roles including Head of Art for Early Years, Key Stage 1 Literacy Co-ordinator, Director of Cultural Arts and Languages and School Mentor for Graduate Trainees and NQTs. AT DCIS she has been involved in developing maths across the school as part of the Maths team.
Anna's passion for teaching started when she was only 16 where she gained experience working in schools both in Australia and Malaysia where her parents lived. She is motivated by the progress the children make and cites this as her reason for being a teacher.
Anna believes that children should always understand the reason they are learning and how it will help them outside of school. Her philosophy is that learning should be easily transferable between the classroom and home life. She enjoys developing her knowledge on how children learn and how best to engage them.
Anna is delighted to be working at DCIS and loves living in Singapore. She has been able to travel to many places and has made great friends. Anna has a great passion for rugby and has enjoyed developing touch rugby for girls at DCIS.
