After graduating Joanne spent two years working in supply chain management. However, after spending multiple summers working with young children at summer camps in America, she decided to turn her career to teaching and completed her PGCE at Southampton University.
After living in Southampton she moved back to her roots in the north of England, where she taught mathematics at Secondary level. The school had close connections with the local Primary schools, which allowed Joanne to develop a transitional program preparing the Year 6 students for Secondary school.
Joanne taught maths in our Secondary school for two years before joining our Primary school last year. As a swimmer, she enjoys helping run the school swimming team, she has also taken students on trips to Switzerland and Kuala Lumpur and has run the Upper Primary maths ECA.
Outside of school Joanne likes keeping fit and travelling with her husband Dan and their friends. They make the most out of living in Singapore and try to visit as many countries as possible in the school holidays!
