Staff Profile: Olivia Eaton

Olivia Eaton

Secondary School English Teacher, Form Tutor 11OE

Olivia graduated from the University of Manchester in Politics and International Relations. She then gained her English teaching qualification at Canterbury Christ Church University.

Before teaching in Singapore, Olivia taught English and Media on the outskirts of London. At her previous school, she took on several roles include Key Stage 3 Coordinator of English, head of a project-based learning curriculum for Year 7 and subject mentor for trainee teachers. She is looking forward to working with a new cohort of students and continuing to engage and excite students in reading and writing.

Olivia enjoys getting to know each student and creating lessons that cater to the individuals in the class, helping them reach their potential. Her classroom aims to be a safe space where pupils feel able to attempt new skills and discuss the complex issues that literature presents. 

Outside school, Olivia enjoys making her way through all the culinary treats that Singapore has to offer and taking advantage of the location by ticking off as many nearby destinations as possible.
