Dozens of volunteers help raise over $1,000 for the Children’s Cancer Charity at NUH
The Student Council Charities Action Team held their Bake Sale on Wednesday this week and were inundated with customers during both breaks.
The quality of the cakes, cookies, brownies and lemonade was simply outstanding and I was especially proud of how they laid out their table in such an enticing and professional way.
I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the Year 5 and 8 girls who planned the event, baked the goodies and sold the cakes. They were ably assisted by members of our Year 7 Communication Team, who helped to sell and manage the queue. We were also grateful for contributions from other pupils and parents who sent in donations of delicious treats and money.
We are delighted to say that they have smashed their target of $250 and have managed to raise $1046.60 for the Children’s Cancer Charity at NUH. We will arrange for payment to be sent to them after the half term holiday.
A final huge thanks to all of those staff and students who came to support this worthy cause!
