Conference explored future finance career opportunities for women including networking with leading figures from prominent financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs, Bloomberg and JP Morgan

On 19th September, Mrs. Rinaldi and 6 students from Year 10 and 11 went to the Women In Finance conference at Yale-NUS College, Singapore. The students were inspired by the 4 speakers who spoke about their roles in various areas of the financial sector:

Jacqueline Chua (Vice-President, Financial Women’s Association of Singapore)

Geetanjali Bhalotia (Global Data, Bloomberg)

Julia McLernon (Regional Business Integration Lead, APAC Cybersecurity)

Priya Sethuraman (Executive Director - Credit Risk Management and Advisory at Goldman Sachs)

As well as learning about different job opportunities, the students were inspired by key messages about being humble, flexible and, most importantly, being ambitious!

The students were then able to network with the speakers and other attendees from the conference… many of whom could not believe that they were only 14 or 15 years old! The girls were amazing ambassadors for the school and many of them are now interested in pursuing a career in finance in the future.
