In their first assembly this year, the students of 8S decided that they wanted to highlight World Teachers' Day and recognise the fantastic work done by their teachers at DCIS. They introduced the assembly with a short roleplay explaining the importance of some new school rules to the student's learning. They then went on to give a brief background of World Teachers' Day and asked volunteers from the audience to share their stories of inspiring teachers. It finally ended with all the teachers being asked up on to the stage for them to receive a huge round of applause.
We thought it was incredibly kind that they wanted to focus on this for their assembly and the message was very sincere. Being the first form group assembly of the year was obviously a daunting prospect, but it was carried out with great organisation and professionalism.
Congratulations on being great students, 8S!
