Deepavali Celebration at Dover Court Upper Primary Assembly

Year 3AS and 3CD have been learning all about Deepavali and shared their learning in a wonderful assembly.

The children started their learning by listening to the story of Rama and Sita told by a parent from 3AS.  Together, they drew pictures to show each scene in the story.  They then created Rangoli pattern pictures and made their own diya lamps, learning about the symbolisms while doing so.

Both classes learned two traditional dances and a song to celebrate this special time. All of this came together beautifully in the assembly. We are very proud of the work of the students and their fantastic performance.
