Here in Year 6, we (the students in 6RC and 6TH!) have been working hard over the last few months to develop and perform our very own assembly!

Back in December, our teachers got us together and carefully explained our assembly topic and how they would support us in putting it all together. But then it was up to us! We were given a bit of time each week and we got to choose exactly what we wanted to do! Sport, drama, art, history... it was up to us! We got together in small groups and worked on our chosen areas. We conducted our own research, wrote our own scripts, made our own props and even had a go at creating our own artwork. And here is what we produced…

Our assembly is all about freedom and those who fought for it. Not physically, but peacefully. People who stood up for their rights and the rights of others. Our assembly is about… FREEDOM FIGHTERS!

We hope you enjoyed the show!
