During his career, Andy has gained a wealth of experience in large primary schools across South West England before moving to international teaching. He has coordinated numerous subject areas; been a member of the Senior Leadership Team; completed his first leadership qualification with the National College; and been a School Governor.
Since joining Dover Court, Andy has focused on developing computing in the Primary School and is now responsible for integrating technology into the curriculum and implementing new programmes. Andy passionately believes EdTech should be integral to learning as it will be a crucial part of the world our children grow into. He strives to facilitate projects which develop the skills required for jobs that may not even exist yet. He hopes to inspire ambitious, creative and adaptable learners who will go on to make an impact in the world.
Technology can be a life-changer for children and can help level the playing field in education. Andy draws on his experience working with children who have moderate and profound learning needs to unlock the vast potential of learning tools. He is committed to research-based practice and seeks educational technology that has proven benefits and where the impact exceeds that of traditional methods. The technology revolution means that education is evolving rapidly, and this is a hugely exciting time for Dover Court.
In his free time, Andy likes to venture to new countries in search of amazing sights and experiences. Hiking is one of his interests which is fortunate as the region is home to many exciting challenges. He is a keen cook although admits this has been put on hold whilst he samples the variety of dishes and delicacies available in Singapore.
