Kara's teaching career began in 1992 in Newcastle Upon Tyne, in the north east of England, and since then she has worked in a wide range of schools, including state and independent schools, both in the UK and Australia, and in international schools in Hong Kong, Singapore and China. Whilst at the British School of Beijing, where she was Deputy Head of a large primary school, Kara was heavily involved in curriculum design and developing pastoral systems within the school.
Kara is no newcomer to Dover Court International School, having taught Year 4 and Year 5 at the school from 1997-2002. She is delighted to have returned to the school as Head of Primary and to be working with a dedicated team of educators to drive the school forward into its next exciting phase. Kara is joined in Singapore by her son, who is currently thriving in the secondary school at Dover Court, as well as her husband and the family Scottish Terrier, all of whom are throughly enjoying the Singapore experience.
