As a member of the learning support team, Robert works with individual students and small groups, supporting them to access the curriculum. His responsibilities include conducting diagnostic assessments and using data to accelerate progress.
Previous experience in the field of education is wide and varied, including classroom teaching, pastoral roles, teaching English as a foreign language and being Head Teacher of a private school for Secondary age students in care settings. Robert completed 11 years’ service as Head of Learner Support at a large Secondary school, where he led a positive transformation of educational provision for SEND learners, and most recently 3 years as Associate Principal at a Specialist School, contributing to successful ERO and Specialist Service Standards reviews. Both of these positions were in Auckland, New Zealand.
Robert is passionate about helping students to achieve their potential, whatever that may be. He has coached football, rugby and touch rugby. He enjoys travelling, keeping fit and spending time with his young family.
