Staff Profile: Sarah Goodwin

Sarah Harrison

Year 1 Class Teacher (1SH)

Sarah graduated from York St John University with a BA Honours in Primary Education.

Born and raised in England, Sarah has always had a love of travelling and prior to training as a teacher, spent time living in both Switzerland and Canada. She decided to pursue a career in education and went on to graduate from York St John University with a BA Honours in Primary Education.

Her first teaching post was in a rural school in the West Midlands, where she helped to develop foreign languages within the curriculum.  When an opportunity presented itself to work internationally, Sarah jumped at the chance to move to Dubai and spent three years teaching in Key Stage 2. After some time she joined our sister school in Dubai and very much enjoyed being a part of their founding team.  She is now delighted to be part of the teaching team at DCIS.

As a practitioner, Sarah believes firmly in educating the whole child and for children to become actively involved in the learning process. She encourages children to become independent through hands-on and engaging activities.
