Katie Allen

Dover Court International School Singapore Katie Allen

Head of Primary PE

Katie graduated from Brunel University, London in 2014 with a Bachelor (Hons) in Secondary Education and Physical Education.

Her teaching career started in the West Midlands where she took on the role of teacher of PE and Primary PE co-ordinator. Most recently, Katie has taught at the British International School Hanoi, which is also part of our Nord Anglia family, where she was acting head of whole school PE.

Katie believes in creating high quality opportunities for all students, both in lessons and at ECAs. Having set up performance programmes for both Primary and Secondary students, she prides herself on giving students a variety of opportunities to stay fit and active in an enjoyable environment.

Katie has experience as a high performing athlete, having won medals at national and regional
competitions for middle distance running, swimming and netball. She has always been very active and competitive in sport, most recently turning her attention to the triathlon. She competed in the Metasprint series in Singapore, finishing in one of the top three places in the elite women’s field. As a result, Katie gained selection to compete internationally in her age group.

Alongside her keen interest in sport, Katie also enjoys spending lots of time in coffee shops, reading and travelling to new countries.
