Year 10 Progress Leader: Ciaran Mainstone

Ciaran Mainstone

Secondary School Mathematics Teacher and Year 10 Progress Leader

Ciaran graduated with BSc 2:1 in Electronic Imaging and Communications Engineering from the University of Bradford

Ciaran is an enthusiastic mathematician who enjoys guiding students through discovery based and collaborative learning. During his teaching years he has held posts such as Head of STEM and Coordinator for Gifted and Talented Mathematicians. He is responsible for the advanced entry students that are taking Further Mathematics and teaching the International Baccalaureate.

Prior to teaching Ciaran worked as a project manager for a stock photography company which allowed him to combine his love of travel with work but is glad photography is now just a hobby again.

Originally from the Essex coast, Ciaran has always lived by the sea and will be found in his spare time windsurfing and wakeboarding out on the East Coast.
