Hannah joined Dover Court from a Secondary school in Oxfordshire. Since commencing her teacher training, Hannah has always been keen to work abroad and therefore is thrilled by the opportunity to work in Singapore. In the three years she spent at her previous school, Hannah was able to take on the role of KS3 Coordinator, working with the Head of Department, to produce a stimulating journey through the KS3 curriculum and to prepare pupils for the demands of KS4. Hannah also had the chance to work closely with the Drama Department in co-directing their whole school production, which was particularly enjoyable for her due to the collaborative nature of the work and enabling students to develop transferable skills outside of the subject she usually teaches.
During Hannah’s work in education, both in the state and private sector, Hannah has developed the belief that education is as much about obtaining academic qualifications as it is developing students into well-rounded young adults, who are prepared for life beyond school. Hannah feels it is imperative that her students are supported in all areas of their school life: academic, pastoral and extra-curricular.
Outside of school, Hannah enjoys reading, going to the cinema and theatre and singing. She is also very much enjoying her adventure in Singapore and the opportunity to explore more of this part of the world.
