Chantel taught for several years in the UK across all ages and abilities before taking a year out to travel. She then spent a year teaching in an international school in Rome and joins Dover Court from Dulwich College Seoul where she has been teaching since August 2014.
She is passionate about Mathematics and her goal is to make it every student’s favourite subject. She has high expectations and believes in the abilities of all her students and works hard to get them to believe in themselves. She asks more questions than she answers and promotes a passion for learning through inquiry and challenge in her lessons.
Chantel tries to understand how each student learns and teaches accordingly. She believes that education outside of the classroom is just as important as academics and has been involved in bringing students to compete in the World Mathematics Championships and on service trips to Cambodia for the last few years.
Chantel loves travelling as much as possible and really enjoys visiting a country she has not been to before. She tries to do something that is personally challenging on a regular basis, like abseiling/ziplining (she is terrified of heights). She hopes to learn how to swim properly so she can try water sports next.
