Daniel graduated from University of Leeds with a Class 1 Degree and a Master’s in Physics with Astrophysics. He completed is teacher training at Sheffield Hallam University.

Daniel has led the Physics Curriculum during his time at Darton, focusing on improving student progress; the makeup of the curriculum to incorporate the new British curriculum and changing the impression of the subject to improve take up at A-level.

Daniel has led a number of trips. The most memorable trips he has run were to the South of France, to canoe a 32km stretch of the Ardeche river, and a trip to the European Space Agency’s offices in Frascatti (Rome), where students were involved with working with the centre for Earth Observations, thanks to his contacts within the ESA.

Outside of school, Daniel’s main interests are walking and travelling and he loves to combine these two interests. Throughout, the school holidays, he will be jetting off to explore historical sites or enjoy new cultures.
