Sally has additionally obtained certification with a variety of neurological disorders including Dyslexia and Sensory Processing Disorder. Sally’s teaching career has taken her all around the world initially in Scotland and England, then overseas to Norway, Jakarta and most recently to Singapore.
Her teaching experience includes all year groups across Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 where she has fulfilled the roles of classroom teacher, Learning Specialist as well as Head of Department.
Sally is extremely passionate about teaching and learning, and strongly believes that when children are provided with a motivating and engaging classroom, they will thrive as successful students. Working as part of a Learning Support Department in both Norway and Jakarta she has been responsible for providing academic testing and whole staff training pertaining to barriers to learning. Sally is committed to contributing to research in the field of education and is always actively seeking new research areas that enhance inclusion and best teaching practices.
Outside of school Sally is kept very busy with her three children. She is an avid reader and loves to read and write poetry. She is a huge fan of the theater and musicals and persuades her husband to accompany her whenever possible. The family’s love of travel has provided them with ample opportunities to experience exciting new places and cultures. Her thirst for the outdoors means she is often to be found out hiking with her children, exploring nature or alternatively doing some yoga!
