Jade joined DCIS after teaching at a primary school in Glasgow, Scotland. Prior to becoming a teacher, Jade has worked as a nanny in Hawaii, in a summer camp in New York and also spent seven years volunteering at the Boys Brigade. She has worked with children across a wide age range in a variety of schools and nurseries as part of college and university placements, including a Reggio Emilia establishment in Italy. Teaching abroad combines two of Jade’s passions: working with children and travelling. She is grateful to be able to do both at Dover Court.
Although Jade is enthusiastic about all curricular areas, she is particularly interested in how to incorporate technology into the classroom. She also enjoys incorporating Cooperative Learning in the classroom, and regularly uses these methods with her class.
When she is not in the classroom, Jade enjoys reading, golfing and skiing, although she misses the latter here in Singapore! Jade also enjoys travelling and is making the most of the travel opportunities that living in Singapore offers.
