Staff Profile: Lucy Hill

Lucy Hill

Year 5 Class Teacher (5LH)

Lucy graduated from Nottingham Trent University, completing a BA Hons Degree in Print Journalism.  Shortly after her undergraduate course, she completed a PGCE in Primary Education at Newman College University.

Lucy is proud to be part of the Dover Court team, and during her three years here she has taken her passion for video editing and shared it with students, staff and parents alike in her role as Media Leader.

As a teacher, Lucy’s hope is that children in her class are happy, challenged, motivated and grow in independence, so that they leave with the confidence to fulfil their aspirations. Lucy strongly believes that friendliness, kindness and a good sense of humour account for a lot in life, and aims to ensure that this is echoed in her classroom. “Creativity is just intelligence having fun” is a philosophy followed by Lucy, who has worked hard to create a bright, fun and learning engaging environment.

Outside of school, Lucy is keen to broaden her experiences and is enjoying trying out a range of new hobbies and sports. She is also an avid traveller, making the most of being located in such a fantastic part of the world and soaking up any opportunities to understand new cultures.
