Staff Profile: Kayleigh Kinsman

Kayleigh Kinsman

Year 6 Class Teacher (6KK)

Kayleigh studied an Early Years degree at Bournemouth University before completing a PGCE in Primary Teaching in the south west of England.

After gaining her teaching qualification, Kayleigh worked in various different schools across South Devon. She has taught across the primary age range and has enjoyed the differences each year group has offered. Before joining Dover Court, she taught in a mixed Year 5/6 class where she planned and taught lessons for both year groups.

Kayleigh’s passion for teaching and learning means she delivers lessons that are fun and interesting, engaging the children through hands-on activities and cooperative group work. She firmly believes that building strong relationships is key to developing a motivated and hard working group of children.

A keen netball player herself, Kayleigh enjoyed running netball clubs at her previous schools, training the children and entering them for local competitions. Her dedication to children’s well-being led her to study Mindfulness, a type of meditation which focuses on improving mental health. She incorporates the techniques she has learned into her teaching.

Outside of school, Kayleigh enjoys playing netball in a social league where she likes to keep fit and meet new people. A passionate traveller, she has enjoyed exploring Europe and is looking forward to further adventures here in Asia.
