Our Parents' Group (PG) have been working hard in the background throughout the Summer months to hit the ground running at TX for our new academic year 2015-2016. Our thanks go towards all who have been involved in planning and organising events for our whole community to enjoy. To begin the new year our PG prepared a fantastic Welcome Breakfast for our first two days of the term. Below you can read more about this and learn about further valuable events being planned for by our PG.
Thank you, PG!
After the bell rang, TX lobby became a wonderful and relaxing café where parents, some of the new teachers, our new Deputy head Ms Mary and Mr Ian, enjoyed sharing a cup of tea and some delicious breakfast items from all over the world. It was a time to get to know our new families and friends, welcome them on board, telling each other all about the holidays and exchange good tips.
Once again, a huge thank you to all parents who contributed and a huge thank you for coming and staying. Over the academic year we’ll have Morning Coffee, sometimes with a theme for example, Têt, and sometimes just to enjoy each other's company.
New Event: Meet the new teachers around a cup of tea
The first parents-teachers-staff event will take place on Monday 7th September, 3:30 to 5:30pm at Villa Royale, a tea and antiques boutique, located in district 2. This will be a great opportunity to meet the new additions to our BIS community and enjoy a typical British afternoon as though we were in London taking ‘high tea’. We need to confirm places with the staff at Villa Royale, so make your payment of 220,000VND to Ms Duong in the office by Thursday 3rd September.

Sign up to help organise events
Parents, we need your help and support.
Below is a link to help us generate a list of volunteers in order to create each committee. Once an event is approaching, we will have a list of volunteers to run the event named as the committee. The committee will be in charge of coordinating the event. The school will help with logistics. Unfortunately without volunteers the events will have to be cancelled so please do consider the help and support you can give. There is no need to sign up for everything, just select one or two.
Regarding Year 6 graduation, this year we’ll team up with AP1. Once their committee is formed we’ll be meeting. In the meantime, if you are a Year 6 parent, please consider signing up.
Community service and Eco committee - Anne has been filling these two positions over the last 18 months. If there is abyone interested in taking the opportunity to be involved, please do sign up. This is not a position which requires a lot of time, there will be just a couple of meetings during the school year.
