Hue, Hanoi, Dalat and Saigon – the children at TX proudly wore their house t-shirts to school this morning.
Following a short assembly, the children separated into their houses and headed off to hear our Year 6 children deliver a speech as to why they should be the captain of their house. Every child in Year 6 had prepared a speech and it was a very difficult decision for the other children to decide who they were going to vote for. These extracts are testament to the standard of speaking and listening that we see at Tu Xuong:
'I will be fair to all of you and give everyone a chance to shine and be a good sport to all other houses too!' - Surbin
'It can encourage people to try hard and persevere eve when something is pushing them down.' - Amiri
'I am persistent, calm, open minded, brave and flexible. I will be an excellent role model to the rest of the of school.' - Hieu
'We are better as a team than as individuals.' - Hung
'I have a belief that we can learn a lot from our own mistakes. Accordingly, I am never afraid of making mistakes and always dare to fail to gain experience and learn to perfect myself.' - Ellie
I am very proud to announce that the Tu Xuong House Captains for 2015-2016 are:
DALAT – Kelly and Rishi
HANOI – Khoa and Amiri
HUE – Andrew and Gia An
SAIGON – Nghi and Kim
Congratulations to them all and I wish them every success in their new roles!
