Meet The New Teachers: Ms Kate

We are very fortunate to have had Kate join the EAL department this year. Kate is new to BIS but not to Vietnam and brings to the role a wealth of knowledge about Vietnam, the culture, the people and the food of course! Kate is from the UK and we are delighted she has joined our BIS community.

Pick the first 3 words you think of when I say Vietnam

Busy, exciting, tropical.

What are your first impressions of BIS?

A thriving and inspirational community of different people from all around the world, who have come together out of a mutual love of learning and sharing knowledge.

What new experience have you had since you arrived in Vietnam?

I have lived here for a few years already, but one of the best experiences for me since coming here has been driving a motorbike. It’s something I never thought I would do!

If you were writing a postcard to friends back home, what would it say?

I would urge my friends and family to come and visit, as I know they would love it here as much as I do. In particular I’d tell them how great the food is, as it’s definitely one of my favourite things about Vietnam!
