Our Year 5 children visited the Vietnam Waste Solutions Facility in the Binh Chanh district of the city.
Linked to their IPC work on sustainability, the children learnt about what happens to the rubbish once it leaves their homes. They found out about the effects that modern companies are having on the city due to the increased amount of litter created, and heard about the plans for the future.
The waste facility was established to develop and operate solid waste management and treatment facilities, including a landfill, recycling and composting facilities, water treatment facilities and waste collection services. The children had a great time and asked lots of interesting questions. Well done Year 5! To find out more about the centre, visit www.vnwaste.com.
