On the Tu Xuong BIS Hub this week:
Dear Parents,
Today you will be receiving your child’s end of year report. The report is a summary of your child’s achievements and information that will help your child to make further progress. Included with the report is a letter that identifies who your child’s teacher will be next year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those teachers who are leaving this year. They are:
Ms Gurvinder (F2 teacher) who will be teaching at AP1 next year.
Ms Heather (EAL teacher) who is returning to the UK.
Ms Gemma (ICT teacher) who is also returning to the UK.
Ms Sara (Chinese teacher) who is returning to China.

I would like to thank them all for their hard work and contributions to making the Tu Xuong Campus what it is.
I am delighted to announce that the vacant positions have all been filled and I look forward to welcoming the following teachers who will be joining the TX community next year:
Ms Sara (F2) who is joining us from the British International School, Nanjing, China.
Mr Luke (EAL teacher) who is already working at a language school in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr Cian (ICT teacher) who is currently working in Dublin, Ireland.
Ms Grace (Chinese teacher) who is currently working at the British School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Milepost 1 Speech Competition

There is a skill to being able to publicly stand up and deliver a speech. Over the last few years, we have witnessed some marvellous speeches from our older children, and that is because at TX we place a value on public speaking and practise the skill every year from Year 1. TX Summer Concert

We had a wonderful evening on Wednesday as choirs, the orchestra, small groups and soloists performed a range of musical pieces at the TX Summer Concert; it is inspirational to see our children perform to such a high standard. You can view and download many great photos of the event by clicking on this link:
Fundinos in the Sun

On Thursday morning it was the turn of the children in EYFS to entertain us. Children as young as 2 years old confidently took to the stage to sing and dance to get us in the mood for the holidays. Mr Adam has taken well over 100 fabulous photos, and as promised here is the link to the folder:
Digital Citizenship Coffee Morning

The Internet has opened many great opportunities for our children; they can communicate, find information and collaborate online. We do however need to be aware of potential issues and consider how to teach our children to be respectful and responsible when using their laptops and devices. Thank you to all those parents who came to the coffee morning on Wednesday to hear Mr Mike give a presentation about Digital Citizenship. We have had several requests for this to be repeated so we will be running this again in Term 1 next year.
To see a copy of the presentation please click on Mr Mike’s post:

Parents’ Corner

The Sofitel was a fitting location for the Year 6 leavers’ party last weekend. I would like to thank everybody who was involved, but Florence in particular for organising such a wonderful event for our Year 6s.
