Year 4 ‘Shelters’ topic

10 June 2016

As part of our ‘Shelters’ topic, on Thursday Year 4 headed into District 1 to see how Saigon has changed over the years. Before going, we found pictures from the past of prominent spots in the centre of town. As we visited each location, we could compare the old images with what we could now see and tried to recreate the photographs as precisely as possible. Lots of our observations were actually about what surrounded the buildings – cars and motorbikes; tall, modern buildings; traffic signals; wires – whilst many of the buildings were relatively unchanged. Mr Mike and I were impressed with everyone’s considered observations and their enthusiasm as we visited the sights in the city.
