Well done to the more than 100 parents who attended Wednesday morning’s An Phu Primary open day Foundation 3 swimming (14th September). During these sessions, all of the F3 classes enjoyed their first swimming lesson with Mr Richard, Mr Vinh and Ms Yen from the PE Department and were guided through the swim programme here at APP.
Developing water confidence plays an important programme in F3 and the knowledge that being safe in the water doesn’t mean that you are unable to have fun. It was wonderful to see already what a confident young bunch of children we have!
Those parents who were able to make it along all agreed just how important it is for children of this age to feel confident being around water, especially in a country like Vietnam where we enjoy year-round warmth and an outdoors lifestyle. Many also explained just how excited the children were with the knowledge they were progressing from the small ‘splash pool’, to the ‘big kid’s pool’. I’m sure some of those parents sitting on the side would have enjoyed the chance to show their strokes as well!
Following this post is a short video from one of the F3 classes on Wednesday.
