Dear Parents,
We hope that you are as excited as we are about our annual International Week at APP. Below, please find the key dates and times for events that are happening throughout the week. Thank you to all for your support in helping to make this a learning rich experience for all of our students.
Monday 9th January 2017
On Monday we will have our opening assembly. This is for students and teachers only.
Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th January 2017
The Global Café is open! Classes will visit at designated times.
The café will be open for parents on Wednesday between 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th January 2017
Classes will have the opportunity to host and visit other classes and participate in activities related to the various countries. This is for students and teachers only. The classrooms will be open for parents to visit on both Wednesday and Thursday between 2.30pm and 3.15pm.
Friday 13th January 2017
Our BIS Parade of Nations will happen on this day. This is open to students, teachers and parents. Due to large numbers, there will be two Parades. MPF and MP1 will begin at 8.30am and MP2 and MP3 will begin at 10.30am. Both parades will take place in the gym. Children are invited to come to school dressed in their national dress or clothes representing their home country on this day.
Please note that due to the overwhelming support from countries regarding individual performances, we will have 4 or 5 countries performing in each parade. If your child is performing in a parade other than their year group parade, you are welcome to come to both. Otherwise we would ask that parents come only to the parade in which their child is in for health and safety reasons. We thank you for your support in this matter.
Countries/Regions performing in each parade are (in order of performance)
Parade 1 – India, Philippines, Ukraine, France
Parade 2 – Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam, South America, Korea
