TX at SISAC Swimming Meets 2017

No one likes getting up really early, especially on a Monday morning. But all year that’s what our swim squad have been doing. At 7am each Monday, Wednesday and Friday they have been training hard in our pool before school.

On Tuesday, 24 of our swimmers attended the SISAC pool C swim meet at the Australian School in Thao Dien. For some it was their first competition. With 30-40 swimmers in each event, some of the standout results are below.

On Wednesday it was the turn of our swimmers who had recorded fast enough times to qualify for Pool B which was held at SSIS.
The 8 students involved were;
Naomi, Bao Van, Yui, Mei, Yong Jun, Kevin, Benz, Nathan.
Again with 30-40 entries in each event the standout results are below. It is also very impressive that all 8 swimmers achieved at least 3 PB’s each!

Bao Van - 3rd Place 50m Freestyle, 4th 50m Breaststroke
Nathan - 4th 50m Freestyle
Nathan, Benz, Yong Jun, Kevin - 4th Medley relay.
Naomi - 3rd 50m Butterfly


On Thursday our 5 fastest swimmers travelled to ISHCMC. Unfortunately after just 5 races the rain, lightning and thunder came down strong. As it was an outdoor pool, for safety reasons the swim meet was postponed. This will be rescheduled for after Easter.

A massive well done to all TX swimmers. Have a great holiday. Remember, practice starts again on Monday May 8th.
