Fundinotots Mural BIS HCMC

Year 12 IB students create wall mural in Fundinotots

We are a group of Years 12 IB Diploma students with a passion for art and a vision: to transform what was once a plain white wall in the Fundinotots room into a mystical, magical “secret garden”.

As part of our ‘CAS’- creativity, action and service - for our IB Diploma Programme, we will be paying weekly visits to the Early Years and Infant campus to draw, paint and work on the wall for the next months. Beautiful and otherworldly, the garden will feature seas of bright, blooming flowers, lush green leaves, exotic birds and animals, and, to top it off, a cottage in the distance beyond rolling hills. In addition to looking like something out of a fairytale, the “secret garden” will also be interactive. Our plan is to incorporate a few hidden surprises for the children and parents to discover for themselves, as well as a variety of textures, materials and colours, to engage and stimulate their creativity, imagination and explorational skills. We want the wall to add a whole new layer of fun and excitement to their play - to whisk them away from reality and immerse them in a whole other world.

We are excited to continue our work on the wall and for the children to see the finished product in a couple of months!
