As part of our coffee morning programme here on the Junior Campus, we were very happy to welcome 35 parents along to our Bring Your Own Device – Laptop (BYOD) information session.

During the morning the parents who attended had the opportunity to gain a further understanding of the fabulous initiative which is preparing our Year 5 and 6 pupils for the years ahead where they will be spending more and more time and effort becoming the digital leaders of tomorrow.

We are incredibly proud of how far we have been able to push our pupils into becoming not just consumers of digital content, but real engagers with, and creators of, content. We also had the opportunity to reflect on how to help our children stay safe online both here at school and at home through a frank, but engaging talk given by Mr Adam Astley, our whole school Integrated Technologies Leader. Thank you to all those mums and dads who were able to attend; it was a great turn out. We will attempt to hold another coffee morning for those that were not able to make it to this event, as well as offering several opportunities early next academic year for parent workshops aimed at those of you who indicated they would like some more knowledge on how to use the Google Suite of tools and any other aspects of computer use that we work with children on. Watch this space!

For those who were unable to attend the coffee morning, we have included the presentation for you to have a look at. Of course for any further information, please feel free to contact me on Christopher.mckelvie@bisvietnam.com.
