Year 1 Play Dates with Thien Phuoc

At the British International School HCMC, we support and work with many community partners across the city as part of our embedded service-learning curriculum. For Year 1 our children work closely with the children from Thien Phuoc Foster Home.

Over the past few weeks, our community partners at Thien Phuoc have been coming to visit the Year 1 classes. It has given our children the opportunity to interact and play with children who have physical disabilities and most importantly, to make new connections with children from outside BIS.

Every Tuesday afternoon, Year 1 and Thien Phuoc children have been taking advantage of our fantastic Fundinotots space and enjoying their toys and games. All of us love the space and it has given everybody the chance to choose lots of activities to enjoy with our friends from Thien Phuoc. Trains, puppets, musical instruments and mini cars, all the children are having lots of fun together during the ongoing visits and I know they are looking forward to the children from Thien Phuoc coming back to play with us very soon.
