BIS Gymnastics Invitational 2019 Beautiful aesthetics were coupled with bravery and adventure in the 6th annual BIS Invitational Gymnastics Competition this week.

Beautiful aesthetics were coupled with bravery and adventure in the 6th annual BIS Invitational Gymnastics Competition this week.

We had over 50 U11 gymnasts from 3 schools in Ho Chi Minh City and BIS welcomed our first ever non-Saigon school to compete in our competition. UNIS Hanoi had a fantastic gymnast competitor who made great friends with the BIS team. BVIS and ISHCMC made up the quartet of schools battling it out for honours on the Level 1-4 floor and vault.

The BIS competitors, some of whom have been training for this event since September with the GymKraft coaches, were incredibly excited to perform individually in front of a packed secondary sports hall; and they did not disappoint! The gymnasts got to show off their floor routine that they have practised so hard to master, some coming agonisingly close to the perfect 10 score. They then had two attempts at some hair raising and gravity defying vaults, in which their best score counted towards their overall mark. BIS had many individuals and teams who scored incredibly highly, some missing out on the podium places by 0.1 marks for the highest point scorers award in each level. A massive congratulations to our extremely strong BIS Gymnastics team.

We hope to see many more gymnasts enjoying the competitive nature of this gymnastics competition in the years to come. If you would like to be involved with this competition next year, please trial for the GymKraft WAG levels programme in September!
