Outstanding results achieved by our IB Diploma students for the 2018/19 academic year

Every Nord Anglia international school supports its students to achieve more than they may have thought possible. We believe there is no limit to what students can achieve socially, personally and academically. This year, our students’ academic results reflect our shared commitment to excellence in this area.

Our entire school community is proud to share our students at British International School, HCMC, achieved exceptional results in this year’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).

For the 2018/19 academic school year, a record 78 students sat their IB Diploma at BIS HCMC, a large number of those students have been with us since kindergarten. Impressively, the average score from the 2019 graduating class was 35.5, which is 6 points higher than the IB global average of 29.6, widening the gap between the school and other IB schools around the world. This result also showcases the difference that Nord Anglia Education schools bring to students’ academic results.

We are delighted to announce that 26% of students from our school achieved 40 points and above.  This is the level of attainment required to gain admission to the world's elite universities, such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.

IBDP, is a two-year education programme for students age 16-19. The programme is a widely accepted and recognised qualification for entry into higher education and universities worldwide.
