On Tuesday 06/10/2020 at the Secondary campus swimming pool, our Junior Red Swim Squad had their first Internal Swim Meet.

On Tuesday 06/10/2020 at the Secondary campus swimming pool, our Junior Red Swim Squad had their first Internal Swim Meet. There were 21 students participating in 3 individual events; 100 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke and 50 Breaststroke. The meet ran smoothly with 36 new personal best times, with outstanding performances from Phuong Watkins (50 Backstroke and 50 Breaststroke), Isabella Tran (100 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke, and 50 Breaststroke), and Byung Ha Park (100 Freestyle, 50 Backstroke and 50 Breaststroke).

Well done to Sao Mai Pham – Girls Champion of all 3 individual events. Congratulations to Jay Cleine – Boys Champion of 100 Freestyle and 50 Breaststroke and Akilan Pandian – Boys Champion of 50 Backstroke. A fantastic effort to our winning relay team consisting of Akilan Pandian, Byung Ha Park, SiU Park and Maya Pham who won in 2.38.79.

This was a great opportunity for our students, parents, and staff to familiarise themselves with our new touch-pad system.

A big thank you to the 12 lovely parents that assisted the running of our meet. We would not be able to run it without your help, what a great community at BIS!

We were so proud of our students who achieved their new personal best times. We did see a lot of improvements in technique and the approach and execution of racing.
