Head Teachers' Whole School Update 21/02/2020

We have come to the end of another week of online and home learning tasks. It has been a challenging time for all of our BIS community and we are very grateful for the fantastic support our students and teachers have been receiving from parents.

Every day, the learning and teaching is evolving to better suit the needs of our students. Across the secondary campus we are seeing nearly 100% engagement with the online learning and next week will see all of our Junior students engage in more face to face online sessions with their teachers as we do realise that more of our younger Junior students need face to face time with their teachers. At the Early Years and Infant Campus, home learning has been creative and wide ranging as the teachers and parents adapt to this prolonged period away from the school itself.

As Heads of Campus, we would like to thank all parents most sincerely for your continued support and understanding.  We know, as parents, how difficult this has been, but we are heartened by your positivity and partnership at this time.

As you know from Mr Anthony’s email this week, discussions at the highest level are ongoing to try to reopen our school.  Once we have concrete information we will share this with you all including the longer term next steps should we be forced to remain closed.

In the meantime, we wish all our BIS families a wonderful weekend.

Mr Carl, Ms Dee and Mr Ian.
