The decision to bring the secondary holiday forward from the revised BIS calendar recently sent out has been taken for the following reasons:

  • To ensure when we reopen to students, face to face learning time is optimized

  • To ensure learning is maximized, especially for students who are facing examinations in May/June

  • To acknowledge that the wellbeing of all students and BIS staff members remains a priority within our school

Mr. Mincher and the Secondary team will be in touch with Y11 and Y13 students separately with regards to the above arrangements.

Unless we are otherwise told to by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, we are working towards school reopening to at least some year groups, from Monday 6th April.

Please remember that our community is strong, and together we will continue to be strong both during and after this difficult situation has passed.

Best wishes to you all and continue to be safe.

Mr Anthony Rowlands, Principal of BIS HCMC
