iSAMS Manager

  • Period: Full Time
  • Contract: Fixed Period

The post-holder will be responsible for the day to day management of the BIS, HCMC Information Management Systems (iSAMS), CHQ Activities & Events software & PTSC software.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and updating the iSAMS core database to ensure the personal records of students and teachers are accurate and up to date; creating user names as appropriate.
  • Monitoring the use of the Registrations and Admissions module to ensure the transfer of accurate information into the core database and assisting Admissions staff with marketing analysis and tracking of admissions data.
  • Maintaining accurate set lists and class lists.
  • Production of student lists, staff lists and general reports as required including for the Department of Education and Training and SLT.
  • Overseeing the school iSAMS calendar, helping with importing events.
  • Maintaining the school reporting system and assisting the teaching staff with the preparation of reports and assessments for parents.
  • Entering and monitoring assessment data setting up appropriate tracking marksheets which are used for tracking assessment data.
  • Working closely with the school Senior Leadership Team in the importing of the school timetable.
  • Ensuring the iSAMS end of year routines are completed accurately and on time.
  • Keeping up to date with iSAMS developments and attending training as required.
  • Maintaining, managing and developing iSAMS modules as required
  • Ensuring all teachers are able to use modules eg. Behaviour Management (Rewards & Conducts) as required by their campus.
  • Assisting the Secondary Deputy Head with Academic Management including setting up tailormade groups for Y12 & Y13 HL/SL mixed classes.
  • Overseeing the Cover module as used by the Deputy Heads.
  • Ensuring all campus Learning Support Departments are able to log SEN students, maintain records and filter appropriate SEN information to class teachers.
  • Training Campus Nurses to use the Medical area so all medical conditions, illness or accidents are logged for students.
  • Providing tailor-made training sessions on iSAMS modules, CHQ & PTSC software as requested by each campus and provide induction training for all new staff across all campuses; creating screencasts to help as appropriate.
  • Managing the CHQ & PTSC software for all BIS campuses providing effective use and set up of termly campus activity programmes, sport fixtures, trips, events, email broadcast messaging & text messaging. Providing training sessions for teachers and parents as required by each campus.
  • Managing iSAMS Parent Portal (together with app) to all BIS parents to improve parental engagement; disabling users as directed by the Business Director.
  • Managing iSAMS Student Portal (together with app) to all Secondary students to improve student engagement; disabling users as directed by the Business Director.
  • Managing, training and delegating to the iSAMS assistant at BIS.
  • Ensure logging of work completed when logging in as iSAMS Administrator (as per Nord Anglia policy).
  • Fulfilling any reasonable additional responsibilities or tasks as may be from time to time requested by the Principal.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience of iSAMS/CHQ/PTSC software an advantage, but not essential
  • Educated to Degree, A level standard or equivalent
  • ICT literate
  • Good interpersonal skills and self-confident
  • Good communicator both orally and in writing
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and workloads
  • Positive, enthusiastic and committed
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Hold a current Criminal Background Check or International Police Check or equivalent for countries
  • lived in outside of the UK tracing employment history for the previous 10 years.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for working in Vietnam.
