Staff Profile: Elizabeth Bown

Music Teacher / Performing Arts Leader

I love teaching Music and was eager to join a school with a lot of musical activities already on offer.  I also enjoy travelling and visiting new countries, so Vietnam was a perfect place to continue this.

Beth began her career in Liverpool as a Music specialist and class teacher.  She then relocated to the Cayman Islands, where she was responsible for Primary Music throughout the islands of Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.  She later taught at the British Council School of Madrid teaching Music from Foundation Stage to Key Stage 3, before joining BIS in 2013.  Beth plays the flute, cello and piano, and enjoys performing in ensembles whenever she can.  She also enjoys reading, travelling and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
