Simon Finnigan - University Guidance

Simon joined BIS in 2016 after more than 10 years as a university lecturer in the UK, initially at the University of Sheffield and more recently at the University of Liverpool, where he specialised in English for Academic Purposes. Prior to that he was a teacher in schools across Merseyside and South Yorkshire in the UK, having also taught in Italy and California. He relocated to Vietnam with his partner, also a teacher at BIS HCMC, in order to pursue new challenges in an exciting environment and he has not been disappointed.

In his spare time Simon enjoys travel, cooking and swimming although his real passions are football – playing and watching – music and literature.
