Robert joined BIS HCMC in 2019 as Head of History (maternity cover) after having previously taught in schools in the United Kingdom and Bermuda. He has a love of history and always aims to enthuse his students by ‘bringing history to life’. As well as teaching History at all levels including IB Robert has also taught IB Theory of Knowledge and IB Global Politics. He has held a variety of leadership positions during his career so far including Head of Year, and Extended Essay Co-ordinator and was awarded the National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership from the UK National College for Leadership in 2017.
Robert believes in a holistic education and has led a number of co-curricular activities including Debate and a notable study tour to the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Prior to teaching, Robert worked as a Researcher in the UK Houses of Parliament in Westminster, London. In his spare time, Robert loves spending time with his family, travelling and learning about new cultures. He is a keen sports player, football and squash in particular, as well as an avid drummer.
