An has been fortunate to teach pupils of all ages throughout her career. She was a teacher of English and the MFL Coordinator at a preparatory school in Leeds, before venturing into international education in 2004. At Jerudong International School, Brunei, she took up the position of French and EAL teacher. Passionate about critical thinking, she also embraced her role as Theory of Knowledge coordinator.
An is a firm believer in mother tongue maintenance and she brings both her children up bilingually. In her free time, she loves to keep fit, paint and play music. As an advocate of creative education, An uses her artistic and musical interests within her language lessons.
