Staff Profile: Emma Husband


Music Teacher / Assistant Head of Secondary Music

BA (Hons) Music & Art Liverpool University, UK

PGCE Secondary Music, Manchester Metropolitan University, UK

Before joining BIS, Emma taught for 2 years in Malvern College, a British boarding school in Qingdao, China as both Head of Music and House Mistress. Previous to this, she taught at a British International School in Dubai for 5 years as a Music Teacher. Before teaching internationally, she taught Music at schools in Merseyside, UK, for 6 years. Her specialised instrument is the violin, and she has experience of playing in various orchestras outside of school in both the UK and Dubai. Apart from this, Emma’s interests outside of school are spending time with her husband and young daughter, experiencing different genres of live music and travelling.
