Deborah Smith

Science Teacher / Biology

Prior to joining BIS in August 2018, Debbie worked for 14 years as a science teacher at the Chinese International School in Hong Kong, and before that she taught at the French International School in Hong Kong.  She qualified as a teacher in 2002 and has taught IGCSE Biology, MYP Science, IB Biology and IB ToK. Debbie grew up in England, where she developed a keen interest in science in general and biology in particular, and she later moved to Asia to pursue graduate research work in molecular biology. In her spare time she participates in many sports including squash, hiking, rock climbing, wakeboarding and trapeze.
